Drillers in Balkan Province exceeded oil production plan by 112% in the first half of the year

Employees of the “Ekerem” department of the “Türkmennebit” State Concern in Balkan province exceeded drilling targets by 2,677 meters as part of the development of the region’s oil and gas fields. According to the “Türkmenistan” newspaper, in the first six months of this year, drillers bored 24,369 meters of rock against a planned 21,692 meters, which amounts to 112.3% of the target. Out of the total volume of work, 21,169 meters were drilled for production purposes and 3,200 meters for exploration. Specialists are placing special emphasis on the development of the Uzynada field, where work is progressing at a rapid pace. The achieved results align with the implementation of the “Program for the Development of Turkmenistan’s Oil and Gas Industry until 2030,” which provides for attracting foreign investment and introducing modern technologies to increase hydrocarbon production.
