ENI Turkmenistan opened a new office Monday in the Arkach Business Center in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan, marking another step in strengthening its presence in the country and highlighting the steady nature of bilateral cooperation, according to the Embassy of Italy in Turkmenistan. ENI Turkmenistan Limited (ETL) has operated in Turkmenistan since 2008, serves as the operator of a production sharing agreement at the Nebit-Dag block in western Turkmenistan. Since then, the company has produced more than 19.5 million metric tons of oil — over 142 million barrels — and invested more than $2.4 billion in oil development projects. The company offers a broad range of energy services, including oil and gas exploration and production, as well as participation in power generation projects, including those involving renewable energy. ENI, founded in 1953, is one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. The Italian energy giant operates in 37 countries and markets its products under the ENI brand in 70 nations.
