Talks on Turkmen-U.S. cooperation were held in Ashgabat
On August 7, a meeting was held in Ashgabat between Mahri Bashimova, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, and Christine Hawkins, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the United States of America in Turkmenistan. The parties discussed current issues of Turkmen-American cooperation and explored prospects for further collaboration in areas of mutual interest. In this context, particular attention was paid to cooperation within international organizations, primarily the United Nations. They exchanged views on priority areas of bilateral cooperation in the humanitarian sphere, including the intensification of educational and sports exchanges and the implementation of joint projects and programs. During the meeting, issues related to the organization of upcoming joint events were also discussed. At the conclusion of the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their readiness to continue maintaining regular dialogue and developing constructive cooperation on a wide range of issues on the bilateral and multilateral agenda.
