A Korean news agency reported on the training of specialists for Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector
In order to promote the significance of the first «Central Asia – Republic of Korea» summit in the Korean mass media, Son Do-hyun, a correspondent for the «Yonhap» News Agency of the Republic of Korea, visited the Mary Secondary Vocational Oil and Gas School of the State concern «Türkmengaz». At the venue, the journalist met and conducted interviews with teachers and students who had completed short-term educational training in Korea. This was reported by the «Nebit-gaz» newspaper. During the conversation, the high quality of education provided to students in the modern educational building—constructed under an agreement between the State concern «Türkmengaz» and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA)—was highlighted. The school trains high-level specialists across four majors: information systems, automation and relay protection of power supply systems, installation and technical operation of industrial equipment, and mechanical engineering technology. Students enhance their skills in component fabrication using electronic textbooks and AutoCAD software. The Korean journalist closely toured the educational institution's renovated laboratories and facilities. He inspected the piping and welding labs, the high-speed pipe-cutting equipment set, as well as the Electrical CAD and PLC laboratories used for computer drafting. Furthermore, the guest was shown specialized computer classrooms designed for practical courses in C, C++, Java, Python programming languages, and Android application development. Currently, higher and secondary vocational institutions across the country are actively refining an educational system grounded in international best practices. In Ashgabat and the regions, a comprehensive state policy is being successfully implemented to educate youth using interactive, world-standard methods, support their scientific and innovative research, and shape them into highly qualified professionals for the industrial sector.
